The Innovation‍

EDUCA strengthens Mexican schools with new learning improvement projects and teacher training. They focus on financial education, entrepreneurship, mathematics, sciences, environmental education, and educational technology to empower the nation’s children.

The Impact‍

Since 1995, they have reached nearly 200,000 children and youth in Mexico with integral, quality education contributing to their development.

The Challenge

3.2 million young people in Colombia lack access to education or dignified employment. Poverty, social exclusion, lack of opportunities, and intra-family abuse can lead them to environments with high levels of violence.

The Innovation

Timbalé uses art to support the development of young people through artistic tools, soft skills, leadership, and emotional intelligence to visualize themselves in a new personal, work, and community context.

The Impact

Since 2022, Timbalé has supported over 500 young people from 20 Colombian communities, some of whom have taken the initiative to join the foundation to lead the program in new Colombian communities.

The Challenge‍

In Colombia, rural communities live on less than $15,000 COP daily, limiting their access to public health services, which often involve long waiting times and slow bureaucratic processes, leaving rural populations underserved.

The Innovation

‍Bive ensures that everyone has access to health services regardless of income. Their platform, Bive Previene, and Chatbot Previene tu Salud help identify and engage rural populations with social support projects.

The Impact

‍Bive has benefited over 120,000 vulnerable individuals through a network of more than 200 healthcare professionals and 9,000 medical services. Since 2012, Bive has directly supported nearly 32,000 people in Colombia, improving their quality of life through early diagnoses.

The Challenge‍

In Latin America, lack of motivation is one of the factors contributing to high dropout rates. 40% of students report feeling unmotivated in class, leading to poor academic performance and potential abandonment of studies.

The Innovation‍

Educación para Compartir fosters active agents of change from childhood through the power of play and educational innovation. They design projects to strengthen interest in learning with socio-emotional training activities for children.

The Impact‍

Since 2007, they have impacted over 1 million children in Latin America. This year, they launched their chapter in Ecuador to develop new socio-emotional education solutions with technology.

The Challenge

In Mexico, 8 out of 10 people have some mental health problem or condition. However, 24% are not affiliated with any type of health service.

The Innovation

The Citizen Committee contributes to the treatment of low-income people with mental health disorders, reintegrating them into their families and society.

The Impact

Since 1997, the Citizen Committee has benefited more than 100,000 patients. With their support, they have achieved an annual savings of over five million dollars in the purchase of psychiatric medications for the population.

The Challenge

For every 100,000 Mexicans, there are 547 cases of family violence, reinforcing a cycle of poverty, fear, and pain in children and youth.

The Innovation

Through the care programs, Juconi provides professional services to girls, boys, young people and families at risk or exposed to violence.

The Impact

Juconi Foundation has reacher 28,934 families through 4,000+ training sessions and 120 projects.

The Challenge

Teachers in Mexico lack the technology and resources to adequately support student learning. Post-Covid, many students fell further behind in basic reading, writing, and math skills.

The Innovation

Inoma develops educational video games that support parents and teachers in their role as educators, improving academic performance. Inoma has developed two platforms: Tak-Tak-Tak, for students, and LabTak, for educators.

The Impact

Inoma users increase their math scores in standardized tests. Since 2013, Inoma has reached over 800,000 students through the Tak-Tak-Tak platform and 36,000 teachers with the LabTak platform. Inomas’ reach expands to 737 schools in 60 countries. 

The Challenge

The lack of public transportation data for users hinders mobility in the city, increases travel time, and gives a poor perception of the service.

The Innovation

Muevetex transforms public transportation trips in the Toluca Metropolitan Area through an app that allows users to set origin and destination points and discover up to five routes to reach their destination. They also identify opportunities for restructuring public transportation and service improvements for carriers.

The Impact

Since 2020, Muevetex has benefited more than 10,000 public transportation users, who have made over 60,000 inquiries to transform their public transportation routes. Due to its effectiveness, 6 out of 10 users use the app more than 3 times a day.

The Challenge

2 out of every 5 people in Latin America earn labor incomes below the national minimum wage, despite enrolling in universities and receiving professional training.

The Innovation

Impact Startup Competition educates young people about entrepreneurship and innovation in Latin America, promoting social projects. Through the competition, young people connect with a network of mentors and experts at the national and international levels to execute plans that solve the region's most urgent problems.

The Impact

Since 2022, Impact Startup Competition has impacted more than 25,000 students directly and indirectly, generating over 800 triple impact projects along with more than 300 mentors and teachers involved in training young entrepreneurs.

The Challenge

By 2022, more than 50 million people faced a lack of health services in Mexico. People living in poverty are primarily those whose right to health is violated.

The Innovation

Hope WorldWide promotes, prevents, and addresses the health conditions of vulnerable communities in Mexico City and the Metropolitan Area. Through their medical brigades and comprehensive health centers, they work to ensure that no person in Mexico is left unattended.

The Impact

Through their 34 years in Mexico, the organization has benefited more than 250,000 people, contributing to the biopsychosocial development of the population living in poverty.

The Challenge

In Peru, every year, there are about 500,000 teenage pregnancies. Also, out of every 1,000 children born, 19 die from unassisted health problems.

The Innovation

TANI addresses early childhood care, strengthening the education system in areas of high vulnerability and preventing and assisting teenage pregnancies.

The Impact

TANI has supported more than 400,000 families with health, education, and community development programs. As a result, 90% of the families indicated increased well-being.

The Challenge

While 90%+ jobs require digital skills, Colombian youth lack the digital skills required to succeed in today's economy.

The Innovation

El Origen provides access to education to rural populations with significant technology gaps. Through the offline "O-Lab" App, El Origen provides accessible digital content in native language to indigenous children in Colombia.

The Impact

El Origen has reached 4,000 children, mainly in Colombia. O-Lab envisions reaching 50,000 students in the next 5 years with its 20+ partners. 

The Challenge

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of people living in poverty in Peru increased to 4.5 million from 2020 to 2022.

The Innovation

Juguete Pendiente designs manages, articulates, and executes high-impact social projects for people and communities throughout Peru.

The Impact

They have benefited over 600 thousand people through more than 700 projects, programs, and initiatives of volunteering and social responsibility with scope in 20 regions of the country.

The Challenge

Peruvian education is in crisis: only 1 in 3 children understands what they read, and only 1 out of 10 has numerical skills. Education is a problem to be solved.

The Innovation

Through their Happy House after school program, Kantaya creates a safe space for children and helps them develop their literacy and numeracy skills.

The Impact

Kantaya has reached 1000+ Peruvian children. After Kantaya, 74% of children understand what they read, and 70% have numerical skills.
